So a well running engine will have no black soot..am i correct? I wiped my finger in the pipe today and it came back black...this must mean i need to change the jets.

What about engine timing? spark plugs... What I'm trying to say is that there's are things that may affect it... Sometimes the simple things get overlooked. I say this from experience.
