Starting, Idling, strange issues...

Okay, so when I start my 74 Super in the morning, no problems, starts right up, I sit for a minute and let her get warm, and off I go. But, if I go out to lunch oh, 5 hours later, I start the car and it has trouble idling, I have to keep the gas slightly depressed until the car warms up and will idle on its own.

Why, oh why would my car start better after sitting for longer periods of time?

Weird?

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Vaughn

Am no expert but I would check the automatic choke operation. Make sure its properly adjusted.

Choke should be fully closed when engine is cold (like overnight cold) and fully open when engine is warm.

Just my 2 cents

Its because you have started it infront of your work colleagues, to whom you have just been banging on about how great ACVW's are...

Glad I could help
