How can I tell 73 superbug front and back bumpers from 74's? I need to replace the rubber impact strips and want to get the right ones. My bug was rebuilt by th p/o so I'm not sure what year bumpers he used.

One of the easiest ways to tell, the 74 bumpers use a shock mount system while the 73 used blade mount brackets. The 74 bumpers also had plastic end caps.
the 74 bunpers are much heavier and have about a 2 cm lip on the back top and bottom, the 73 were flat across top and bottom.
