94 940 S/W Idiot driver

I do not know how I did this--I swerved into a jersey wall--almost. The wall had reflectors attached to it and one took out my drivers side mirror.

I need to replace it, it looks to me like I just fork over a huge amout of money, then pull the little plastic thing in the front corner of the door/window off and there should be a bolt or two to remove?

Do I just pull the trim triange off?

Any hints?

How do the wires attach?

Thanks!

Yeah it's pretty simple, pull the door panel and the trim off, there's 3 bolts under it, then the wire plugs in with a connector.

The cover pulls away from the window frame and is held by two pins that fit into plastic sockets beneath the triangle in the front of the window frame. There is a leg that slides in behind the door panel at the bottom. There are three hex head screws holding in the mirror. If it is an electric mirror, unscrew the motor, make a diagram and disconnect the four wires, remove the two wire from the mirror glass if it is electrically heated. Unscrew the motor from the new mirror and pull the new wires out, thread in the old wires and connect them up. You don't have to remove the door panel.
