In the nearside front door of my 99 Vectra, the speaker is 'fizzing' badly, may need replacing. What sort of job is it to remove door lining, etc, and fit replacement speakers, maybe better speakers than original? Never had to do this before. Any advice much appreciated, thank you.
This is how to do it for a '95 - '99 model
Pull off mirror adjustment handle and remove triangular plastic cover. Prise off plastic cover inside door handle grip, small plastic cover (or electric mirror switch and disconnect) and small speaker cover. Remove screws then door handle surround/grip. Disconnect wiring from small speaker. If necessary remove window winder handle. Remove screws from bottom edge of trim panel. CAREFULLY prise off trim panel with the aid of a wide-bladed screwdriver or correct tool. Unhook top of panel from door.
