99 V70R replace Nivomats with regular suspension?

Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the self-levelling suspension with a traditional spring and shock set-up, say from the regular AWD V70?

Thanks

With older models you need to replace the stock springs with the shocks. I would say that you should first shop some of the after market supliers. The shocks can be had for a LOT less than the dealer and it is nice to have the nice ride along with the self leveling feature to deal with varying loads. It does affect weisght transfer and braking efficiency during hard stops. A number of people have reported dramatically better anti-lock performance when syuspension components were changed/upgraded. Just one idiot's opinion. Just ask anyone! __ __ Randy & \ \/ /alerie's \__/olvo '93 960 Estate

Very good advice. I don't know about Nivomats for the V70R (matter of fact I didn't know it had Nivomats), but when I had a 760 I got Boge Nivomats from IPDUSA. They were about $250 each, which is much cheaper than the dealer price.

Still more expensive than a regular shock and spring.
