Need torque value for front caliper mounting bolts

Aug 06, 2003 2 Replies

Hi,

I have a 87 240 GL and need the front caliper mounting bolt torques. Any techs out there?

Thanks,

Mike

From a point at sea, to the circles of your mind, this is ml:

Use thread locking fluid and do them up 1½ - 2 grunts. This translates to about 75ftlbs.

Mine were so tight I just got them out with a rattle gun. Had to weld the sockets on to stop them from jumping/slipping. Replacement bolts were only available from Volvo. No one else had sufficient hardness. I would probably recommend single using the bolts for this but that's up to you. My book also shows 75.
