Purchase Advice on 2000 S80 T6

here is mu $.02...avoid the car all togather.. that year..that car,...volvo was in the learning curve...i would buy a used bmw 5 series...b4 a volvo s80...untill at least a 03 or 04 s80...even then.. be careful...if you want a sweet volvo..look for a

Beancounter, anyone who knows how to do a Usenet search can search for "beancounter" and see just how much you loved your S80 and how trouble-free it was right up until your personal financial situation became critical and you sold it for a much less expensive model. You were always signing the praises of the S80, reliability, drivability, etc. It wasn't until after you sold it that you started the "sour grapes" routine.

My 2000 S80 has been utterly reliable and hasn't cost me a single cent past the regular scheduled services. It has over 50,000 hard miles and has never spent a night in the shop. You should consider abandoning the sour grapes drama.

My advice, get the car if you like it and don't waste your money on any sort of extra warrantee. That's what the dealers make all their money selling.
