Having great difficulty with the driver's door latch on 92 Passat. Any adjustment points in the linkage in there?

what is it doing? Usually the door handle starts to lose a pin and it is hard to unlatch the door with the handle.
Have a look at my post a few up from here in reply to similar door problem - work wonders compensating for wear in mechanism with a valve cap :-)
