Need to pull the handle four or five times to get it to open the door. Feels like there s hould be an adjustng rod in there somewhere, but I dodn't see one. ========== From: "dave AKA vwdoc1" Subject: Re: 92 Passat Door Latch Date: Saturday, October 15, 2005 5:31 PM

what is it doing? Usually the door handle starts to lose a pin and it is hard to unlatch the door with the handle.

Having great difficulty with the driver's door latch on 92 Passat. Any

no real adjustment AFAIK, but you might/should want to pull off the handle and make sure it is not falling apart.

To adjust you may have to slightly bend levers on the latch inside of door.

Rich, our 90 jetta is the same. you have to pump the handles to open the door. I have replaced them when they break and its better for awhile. Steve
