My 1997 Jetta TDI has bubbles in the fuel line just after the fuel filter. It makes the engine run a little rough and when I'm cruising along I notice the engine sort of miss (like a gas motor missing). I put on a new filter but that didn't help. I don't think there are any leaks in the fuel line back to the tank. It sort of seems like the return has alot of air in it and causes it to mix back into the filter where it then gets picked back up and fed back to the injector pump. Any ideas? Paul
