Diesel Vanagon Transmission ??

I am trying to find out which transmission I have to do a swap. I compared my Transmission ID number "DZ" to the charts found on

it is not listed. I need the final drive ratio. It was mfr'd in 05/82. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. This number "DZ" is stamped on the bottom of the trans. It is a 4 sp. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! D.E.

You may be miss reading it. DX was used on the 1.6 diesel from 10/82 to 11/83

Thanks for the answer and I have been known to do that in the past, but I double checked it as I couldn't believe it myself. I even succumbed to trying on my new reading glasses. Heck! Getting old is for the birds. Thanks again.
