Hello all,
I have a V6 2000 Jetta and been having an issue lately with the electronic immobilizer.
When I turn on the car, sometimes the electronic immobilizer light goes on. Ofcourse, when this happens, my car will shutoff after a few seconds.
The manual doesnt give much information, just that I am using an unauthorized key. However, I've tried two different keys.
My dealer cleaned out the key chamber, but it is still doing it.
This problem comes and goes. Cant find a pattern to it. However, Ive noticed that if I dont turn the key all the way and wait to see if the light goes on, I am better off. Usually Ill turn the key off, wait a few seconds, and then its fine.
Any ideas? Can this be resolved? Or disabled?
