I have been experiencing a 'hard' 2nd-to-3rd gear shift in automatic and did just bring the Jetta (2002, GLS, 1.8T) to dealer service who let me know that "triptronic switch is faulty", and that I may need a transmission but 'unknown until triptronic switch is replaced'. I am writing to ask if anyone has any insight or related information. Thank you in advance.
