maybe try a hi-temp epoxy putty???....

be sure the surface is clean and dry first.

you should also check your coolant level often to make sure that the patch is holding and you're not losing coolant.

i broke off where the hose goes from the rad to resevoir (broke the plastic pipe that sticks out of the rad) and patched it all together with putty, and it's fine...been driving it around for 2 months.

its funny, thats exactly what happened to my radiator in my 87 fox. I simply went to the local junkyard, and got another one for 15 bucks... takes about 30 min to replace it

it's always possible that you could pull a radiator from another VW...

anyone know if radiators from other VW models would be compatible with an 88 fox?
