Does anybody know roughly what a 92 Jetta auto, 1.8, ps, a/c, cruise, big bumper, with 300,000 kilometers on it would be worth to sell on the private market?

NADA is good, but usually the KBB data is close. I actually have found the NADA estimates to be high.

for a car of that age, try looking at Ebay under 'completed auctions' and look for cars like yours. Likely a bit less than the book values, but shows what people have bid the price up to. Use the site map to find completed auctions, the link is sometimes hard to find.
