DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS!!!!!
:)
Hi - My fiancee is having trouble with her 96 jetta 2.0 GL 4 cylinder
>standard transmission car.
>
>In the morning it starts without a problem no matter how bad the
>weather is, then after driving it for awhile and we shut it off, it?s
>almost impossible to restart it without letting it rest for a couple
>of minutes. With the warm engine, if trying to start it we have to
>crank it for a longer period of time and even when it does fire up it
>has almost no power. We have to push the gas in order for it to wake >up and not stall.
>
>If we let it rest for awhile, it?s easier to start up, but the RPM
>shoots way up acting as though we left our foot on the gas up to 3000+ >RPM.

>We were advised to clean out the throttle body and/or the idle control
>valve and give that a shot. Does anyone have any manuals/guides and/or
>pictures of what these things look like and how to do it step by step?
>I work with tools and my hands for a living, so if it isn?t too
>complex I?m pretty good at following directions.

>Any help out there?

>Thanks!
