Has anyone repaired the front end of a classic beetle? I have a 72 that has rusted areas and collision damage on the front passenger quarter. I am wondering if anyone has had new quarter panels repleaced on a classic beetle and how much it cost for that work.

I had my 70 repaired twice. Once included a front quarter panel and once most of the car behind the doors. The first was not all that expensive and the second cost a bundle, but the insurance company for the kid who ran the read light would have paid anything to keep me happy. Both went well and even after a number of years the results were great.
Since a '72 is air cooled, the best thing is to direct you to a place where air cooled guys are. I am a member of such a club (Club Vee-Dub) in Calgary, Alberta. There are a few guys in the club currently working on bugs as well as a few that have finished some. They are always glad to help advise you. go to
