VW beetle front end body work?

On a bug, they're typically called fenders rather than quarter panels.

New fenders run in the range of US$65-85.

How much does it cost to have someone do the work? Well, that's a function of how much you're willing to spend and how much someone is willing to do it for. Prices can be all over the map. And, sometimes it's even a chore trying to find a shop who will do that kind of work.

The first question I asked when calling around to body shops was, "Do you guys work on older classic cars, or are you just an insurance shop?". The majority of the time, the answer was the latter. To which my response was, "OK, thanks anyway. Click."

True enough. Though when I think quarter panel, I think of my 67 Camaro, not my 69 Bug.

Do you see the panel beetween the door hinges and the fender? that's what he means.

I haven't, but I'm beggining to disassemble my SB. Be careful with the door pillars. It's will be a PITA to realign those. I have a door that tends to open when I fall on a big enough pothole. But in my case I'm missing a shim.

Will you replace the whole panel or just the damaged part?

The "fender" is the outer wheelarch part, the quarter panel is the metalwork on which the "fender" bolts to.
