i own a 1984 vw rabbit convertible and recently i replaced the head, the original was a solid and the new one is hydrolic but noe the oil pressure is reading low. the light blinks but it always has. is this a common problem? i replaced the sending unit for the light but it still blinks, i have not replaced the sending unit for the gauge. it reads fine until the motor warms up then it only reads .5 bars at idle and 2 bars at 3000 rpm. is this something i should be concerned about ? thanks for any input. wayne

Install a new high volume/pressure oil pump for an engine with the hydraulic head. Maybe one for an A3 will fit. I believe the hyd. head will require more oil which might drop the resistance of the oil to flow = lower oil pressure.
I could be wrong though.
hydraulic heads require different oil pumps.....
