Cutting out mostly when hot but started now when cold. getting spark through alright so i guess its fuel related. Will cut out when driving till you come to a halt, switch ignition off for a while then it starts back up, gets worse the hotter it is, i dont think its the relay as you can feel and hear it. has anyone got any suggestions ?
I had the same problem on my A2 but IIRC, your 93 is pretty much the same. Basically, the temp sensor failed because it was too crusty to survive when I pulled it to replace a cracked inlet pipe. I replaced the temp sensor and sender. Total cost was ~$30 including a new bottle of pentosin to top up the coolant. Takes about 5 minutes.

Doubt it but that might not be what is happening.
