GM Navigation System - hack to allow changes while driving?

Hi,

I have a 2005 GMC Yukon with the built-in navigation system. You can change many things except the destination while driving.

Is there a way to enable changing the destination while driving? I don't see why a passenger is not able to change settings while driving. It's a real pain to have to pull over to change something or view POIs.

Thanks.

How does it know when your not driving, does it let you change things when the speedo is 0 or transmission in N or P?

It will let you change things when you are not moving - even when it's in drive. You can zoom in and out, add waypoints and destinations by scrolling through the map and zooming in and out, but you can't add by address/phone/saved points - which is strange. That's the easiest way to change your route - so those should be easier to do while driving than otherwise.

Even if they enabled it when it detects someone in the passenger seat - that would be fine, too!

Thanks.
