ONSTAR and Lockouts

This may come as a shock to you, but there are more telephones out there in the world that are connected by wires. There are even some that you can drop coins into.

My '02 Grand Am will let me. Granted, it does give me a few seconds to change my mind: if I open a door and hit the "lock" button once, I'll hear a chime, and once all of the doors have closed, the car will wait

15 seconds before it locks up. A big help for when you close the door but then realize you left something inside, or for when you have a passenger who takes their sweet time to meander out of your car. :)

However, I can override this if I want to by hitting the lock button again after I hear the chime. This will lock all doors without waiting for me to close anything. And of course, I can just manually move the lock lever with my hand.

What amazes me is that clearly you work in a place that pays you enough money to not have to worry about work, and instead worry about the millions of "morons" using OnStar. :)

Take a chill pill, and don't obsess so much. If you're too intelligent for OnStar, good for you! Please, oh great one, use your superior brain power to solve the other evils of the world... you can sweat OnStar after our other great social problems - poverty, violence, disease - are resolved by your superior intellect. :)
