14CUX

I'm removing the cat from the Chimaera, which required a EPROM change in the ECU. TVR (in their infinite wisdom) have different cat/none cat chips, which is daft as you are supposed to just change the tune resistor to select the correct map.

Anyway, it got me thinking, what can I do with an ECU? So I don't waste to much time in the research department, does anyone know of, or can point me in the direction of the following:

Map layout for the 14CUX EPROM PC connection to the 14CUX Data format that is returned from the 14CUX Any existing software for the 14CUX

The TVR EPROM is a 256K (although only 128 is used) so my first job is to put both cat/none cat data on to one 512K (they are cheaper than the 265 or

128 anyway) and switch the MSB along with the tune resistor, because I'll still need the cat chip when I refit it for the MOT.

All I need now is a nice day so I can change the manifolds and get rid of the pre-cats for good.

Didn't really want to go to such an expense. If I up-graded the pump and injectors it would possibly be worth getting a better ECU, but I'm not going to do that (for now anyway).

There's a chap called Mark something down Southampton way who's a genius with Rover ECUs.
