MASSIVE Mistake made with 106

...that was I sold it and bought a new Punto-biggest mistake I HAVE EVER MADE - I want my 106 back. I had it 30 months and did 80000 miles in her, I had SatNav, Traffic Master CD Multi changer in her, the lot. I have to say I miss it loads, and PLEASE, if you are buying a new car, DO NOT BUY A PUNTO!!!

New 2004 Active Sport Model features:

  1. Horn doesn't work, needed replacing
  2. Interior light randomly works
  3. Loose wire hangs effortlessly where boot light should be, but "we have chaged the spec"
  4. Squeaking suspension, perfect for driving you insane when driving round town
  5. Parts of the rear bumper are found strewn down the road from where you live - quality Italian build
  6. Exclusive to the Punto - indicators that you have to HOLD UP otherwise they always cancel themselves...

The list goes on, and the lesson I learnt from this - I shouldn't have sold the 106 - the best car that I ever had, and will be missed (Have had the punto 4 months now, best friend owns the 106, straight swap looks like the best deal for me, but the servicing is £$£$£$£$£$£$£ on the higher mileage!!)

Here here!! I knew someone who had a Punto -for 3 months until the electrics caught fire. Aparently an ignition fault so the dealer said, but I reckon it was typical Italian design. I've been a loyal Peug fan for several years and unreliability is a word I do not know! Matt

Hello,

"You've been"... I know I'm still a loyal Pug fan (but still, I could have been disgusted by Pug itself - I don't want to enter into polemics).
