it ran ok, but I wanted to tune it up.
New Air Filter, Wires and Plugs. (pre gapped plugs for it, and double silicone wires.
the second i had my tools put away, and started it to test drive after installing the new wires and plugs, the car started hesitating a little, won't idle very good, stalls at stop signs unless I keep a foot on both gas and brake.
My mechanic is backed up a few weeks, but told me to look into EGR valve. So I did. I got a used EGR valve that works, cleaned head off blew out all particles, added new gasket, still the same.
02 sensor is working, all the injector are working. Listened and volt checked battery and alternator, both are good. Took it to autozone, had them test the alternator to make sure. All was well. Purchased a spark plug tester to test spark of coil packs (all 3 :( ) spark on all.Cleaned the terminals off the idle control module, (it works, runs worse by far when disconnected) lmbo
Checked fuel pressure. It sets normal about 42, start car sets at
43-44, rev and goes up 5-10 and back down. All is well according to the Haynes specs from the manual. says 41-47 with vaccum hose connected, disconnected 5 to 10 increase. And that is about right on.Now, Replaced the PCV valve, just to get it out the way. Yesterday my uncle and I reset fuel pump and cleard the memory, and I mean for the cars computer too.
Cleaned the fuel pressure regulator, replaced O ring.
what next???
oh, and i thought for sure a plug was bad or something so I purchased a new set of wires and plus, replaced each, one by one. Still at low speed it idles bad, have to feather pedal to keep running.
Not the FUEL Filter, brand new.
did the test for the lights and got code 32. EGR. had mechanic close the valver properly on head, screwed it all back in place, unplugged EGR power, still same and the service light comes on and off daily. everyday, not all the time
help, my wife needs the car to goto work 18 miles each way, and I cant take and get here, as My son will be sleeping when she gets off work at
12 midnight.Its an only car for us.
Shes afraid to drive it a lil bit because it stalls and shes not very coordinated. thanks
