You need to be a little more specific. Exactly what year span? Problems or problem? Does the crank seal oil leak count if you fixed it at the timing belt change interval?
I don't think the data you collect could have any statistical value, given that usenet posters are not typical users.

As I said. This is a seat of pants meter.
I'm not collecting data for the sake of typical users. There are Consumer Reports for them. Amen :-)
You also need to know who has NOT had problems. Me: 04 OBW H6 8000 miles no problems except that birds seem to like red better than other colors.
The timing chain pensioners on my 04 H-6 failed on the day of delivery. no problems since though.

Opinions, before I take a big breath and plunge for a second Sub. I don't want to make a second expensive mistake and would really like to believe that "mechanic's specials" are more of an exception than the rule.
