94 V-6, 5-speed - - clutch pedal squeaks

The clutch pedal mechanism makes this strange, constant squeak when I push / release the pedal. Nothing rubbing, clutch works fine, truck runs fine, tried spray silcone, graphite, et cetra on mechanism without good results - still squeaks more than just a little bit. Anyone have any ideas

I had the same squeak. The clutch pedal was wearing against the push rod which seemed to cause the clutch return spring to make noise. I sprayed silicone on the clutch / rod joint. That worked for about 3 days before the squeak started to return. I tried white lithium grease (comes in a spray can). It's been more than a month now and the squeak hasn't returned.

Try looking at the return spring and pivot points of the clutch pedal. I had a similar squeaking noise also with the clutch pedal. Just try pushing on the clutch pedal with your hand while watching the spring and pivot point. You might be able to pinpoint which particular part is squeaking. You will need to get down under the steering column.

I had squeak turned out to be plastic bushings for clutch pedal. Need to unbolt pedal and replace bushings, maybe one is cracked and fell out. Hard job need to contort body to get out. Back sore after.
