'82 Chrysler Pickup Coil..What cars use this?

I'm going to the pick and pull this week and am needing a pickup coil for my '82 244 that I'm getting back on the road. Most of the Volvos that have the Chrysler ignition have had their pickup coils removed.

Can someone tell me what othe cars may have used this same pickup coil? Dodge, etc...?

You might consider grabbing the Bosch ignition system off a similar vintage 240, from what I gather it works noticeably better.

I've thought about changing over to a Bosch unit.

Exactly what parts are needed?

Is it simply a matter of removing the distributor and changing it out with the Bosch unit or does the ECU have to be changed over also?

IIRC you need the distributor, wiring harness and the ignition box. A friend of mine has done the conversion before, I can double check with him what is needed if you want.

James, That would be great. I've been looking at the wiring greenbook for my car and it seems fairly straightforward. I've rebuild the wiring harness under the hood, so I'm not afraid of rewiring things. Which years should I look for at the pick and pull?

Ok I checked, he says you need the ignition control box under the hood from any Bosch ignitioned K-Jet (mechanical injection) 240, ignition harnesses from an '81 240 with Bosch ignition and non-turbo engine, and the distributor.
