heater resister

i have a 91 525i heater blower motor only works on high speed. i have replaced the motor because it was bad but still only high speed. have a new resister to replace but do not know where it is located on the car. thanks for any help.

It's located under the blower motor. Here's a picture from RealOEM although it doesn't really show it very well.

FOLKS IF IF FAN SETTING WORKD ON ONLY HIGH ITS ALMOST ALWAYS HEATER RESISTOR AND SOMETIMES RARELY THE FAN SWITCH!!!!!!! STOP WASTING UR MONEY ON NEW BLOWER MOTORS!!!!!! TRUST MEEE!!! sorry for the caps

I will take your word for it Jack, but is this the same for vehicles with air con?

I seem to remember the long resistor pack sliding through a panel on the side of the heater box inside the footwell on vehicles with air con/microfilters. Although, maybe that was on E32?

On some cars the high blower circuit is separate from the lower speeds. Sometimes they have separate relays, or sometimes only the high circuit has a relay.

thanks for your help. found the resister but to get it out you have to remove the panel beside the gas pedal. The reason i replsced the blower motor is because the bearings in the motor were bad. thanks again for all your help.
