98 S-10 Hard to Shift

This morning I couldn't get it to shift at all when it was running. As soon as I turned the truck off I could shift into all the gears fine. Turned the truck back on and I couldn't get out of first ( I park my truck in first gear, slight incline to my driveway) I have been having troubles with my clutch this past year. Once a month the clutch I have to press it to the floor in order to get it to shift while I'm driving. I have about 80,000 miles on the truck. The clutch doesn't slip.

Not bitching, looking for some help. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with it. I was reading some other posts and some of them mentioned the slave cylinder could be bad.

Yes, you appear to have some sort of hydraulic problem. It may be your slave, and/or your clutch master cylinder. In any event, it's always best to replace the two together....to decrease the chance of cross-contamination of the fluid. Often, if you just replace the one part, the other fails soon after...or the new part can be damaged.
