Worn feeling suspension

Apr 11, 2007 4 Replies

I have an 02' Chevy silverado ext cab 4.8l Z71, 90,000 miles an for some reason the truck feels like the suspension is a worn out although I have not used it for 4x4 fun any recomendations and I am also noty the first owner, any recommendations on anything that I should do.

I'll guess and say it's time for some new Good shocks. Maybe some KYB's as they're pretty stiff and would firm up your ride. Again Feels Worn out can mean many things.

KAYOSS: I was thinking the same but I was thinking rancho suspension. I am not sure what 2 go with

I have those on my truck also, but I think they may be a little to soft for his needs. I wouldn't bother with Rancho unless you have a lifted truck with Special Shock Requirements. KYB's are prety stiff, and can be a pain to install because they are hard to compress, but you'll notice the differance, and will sriffen up the ride and the price isn't to bad. The ISA's are more money, and I didn't really notice much of a differance compaired to the Stock Shocks in my truck. I also have a lowered 2wd truck and I don't want it to drive like a tank.

Again, If this is the problem he's talking about?!?! I can only guess. The Milage is about right for some new Shocks if they've never been replaced. I wouldn't think there would be any other warn out suspention parts unless the suspention has been Modified or it's been abused with a lot of off roading. Most people with 4x4's never seem to take them off road, even when they get them lifted. I would go KYB in his case, maybe even a Higher end KYB like the MONOMAX.
