2000 Concorde Life Expectancy

Ask any engine builder what it means to make an engine "breathe better" and I'll bet you a steak dinner than increasing the gas flow through the PCV system isn't mentioned. I not only claimed to be an engineer, I am one. What do you claim?

Perhaps, but we're not talking to engine builders about how to make engines breathe better. We're discussing dirty vs. clean crankcases. Context is everything.

I claim to hope like hell you're not a mechanical engineer in the automotive field. You lack fundamental knowledge of systems that have existed for nearly half a century.

Do I really have to mention that the PCV system is one type of what is broadly known as a "crankcase breather"?

The context was getting 2-3 MPG increase from a crankcase flush that was supposed to make the engine breath better, not make the crankcase breathe better. Increasing the airflow through the PCV system won't do that.

OK, you have no real claim to competency.

No, I'm well aware of that. We were talking making the engine breathe to dramatically increase fuel efficiency. That would only happen by increase induction or exhaust efficiency, not crankcase evacation efficiency. I really thought you were savvy enough to know that.

Mine sees 6000 RPM frequently, although most of its time is spent running slightly under 3000.
