To extend or not to extend....that is the question

Okay my 3yr 60k km warranty is almost up. I can still buy an extended warranty before this runs out. The 10 thousand dollar question is should I? I own a 2003 Town and Country minivan and have not had any real problems to date. Thanks for any input. CB

My friend who does automotive machining, motors, say to sell or get rid of any Chrysler V anything before the warranty is up. Also watch out for any extended warranty. Be sure it covers the engine, transmission and differential. Keep the maintence up and keep all documentation. Change the timing belt now if it has one. Bob AZ

My 86 Plymouth Voyager extended warranty paid for itself and then some. My '96 Town and Country extended warranty paid for itself a couple of times. So it's been a net gain for those cars.

I never considered it or needed it for our Japanese cars over the years. I passed also on the Audi A4; so far, so good.

If it were me, I'd go for it.

Your machinist friend has Chrysler confused with General Motors.

By all means, do not get the extended warranty that only covers the door weather stripping.

Uh, it's a Town & Country.

What would they charge for the warranty? Nobody can advise without knowing that.
