I forgot the brake line to the rear wheels that rust and leak. That happened to me. Also the brake calipers. The car has been on the road for 17 years now so you can expect quite a few problems. L.G.R.

The shift key tends to get stuck after that many years, and yours seemingly has. It's a simple job and all you need is a tube of grease to fix it. Just apply it liberally to the stuck key, work it back and forth a few times and there you go.

Please don't write in all capital letters.

Well, it's 17 years old, so I'd suspect it's worn out. At some point, you have to overhaul the transmission and engine. Somewhere along the way it becomes more expensive than you'd pay, and so it just quietly dies.
