I am almost finished my conversion process, everything works, I've just got
to plug in the guages. I went with the alternator solution though. Figured
if I wasn't going to keep it original, I might as well go all the way with
an alternator. But if you want to convert your generator, just start
calling automotive electrical places in the yellow pages, chances are theres
someplace in town that will do it. Also, you might be able to by a 12v
generator that is the same size. something from a later 50s model maybe.
