how do i tell if the wiring in my beetle is 6 or to 12 volt, i see a 3 terminal 12 volt flasher and its got a 12 volt battery and generator. any help is good, i looked on your site jim but didnt see anything. thnks mike
The old 6V wiring can be used for *either* 6v or 12V. There is no way to tell just from the wires.
But the fact that it has a 12V flasher AND a 12v battery says that the car is set up for 12V.
