I'm pretty sure that the engine is *not* OK to run on unleaded as it's possibly still the high-compression lump. That aside, I think it still needs SD1 heads to run unleaded.
Check out the leather in the pictures - it looks pretty bad. I'm just renovating the seat on my and that's a bit of a pig, so I'd factor that into the price.
That said, the visible parts of the base unit look pretty good, so it may well be that it's had all the work done that the seller suggests.
The other thing that would annoy me is that it has been resprayed in a non-original colour. Not only that, but *almond yellow*[1] of all colours...

Valve seat wise it'll be ok for many a mile. It might not stand full throttle operation for hours at a time, though. ;-)
Yes. If it was Cameron green originally this was one of my favourite colours.
Love the bit about the rough gearchanges being typical. Typical of a badly adjusted downshift cable, not the box.
It's got power steering though. They do need it.
Yup. AFAIR the Borg Warner 65? had a very smooth change.
I thaught all the 3.5's had power steering? Mike.
The 35 is ok as well when in good condition and correctly adjusted. The 65 is a better and stronger box, though.
Probably a bit of confusion in the title. The car on sale is a P6 3500 auto. And perhaps most didn't have power steering.
The P5 3.5 had it as standard, of course.
