i want to paint my ally wheels in satin black, any suggestions will i need a primer or can i spray it straight on. cheers dave

How bad are they at the mo? Are you going to take them back to bare metal, or just key the current paint/lacquer?
whichever needed the least effort :-) the weather seems to have got under the laquer so will most likely take back to the ally in the bad areas. dave
Like as mentioned any bare metal will need a primer to key the paint onto it.
You use the same etch primer for steel or alloy, then a primer.
Plastic like bumpers, also has a primer to key the paint.
Depends on if they're painted at the moment. If they are bare alloy, a suitable etching primer would be best. If they're painted and in good condition it rather depends on what type of paint it is.
