prices on classic american cars ?

Does anyone know how I'd judge the market value of a classic american car?



( FYI my dads living in Spain and had had a convetible pontiac catinlina for a couple of years, hes had enough of it and offered it to me, only I dont want to spend money fixing it up if its not going to be worth anything when I'm finished with it )

Try buying a magazine like "Classic American" That will give you an idea of secondhand prices. The only other way is to take it to a few shows and gauge the reactions of others. There is also a Pontiac owners club in the UK

that may be able to give you some guidelinespricewise. A lot of people keep these cars because they are different, andenjoy them for that fact, so they are not always worth a fortune. As a rule,the older 50's and 60's cars are worth more, especially with a V8. Neil
