the fan switch on my 72 only runs on one speed. is this a switch problem or a relay problem or both another question. what does the resistor do and could it cause a problem. thx in avance

If the one speed is high, the resistor is the likely place to start.

thx but the switch works on the 2nd speed i think. i wonder if the dealer has that part thx again
If problem were only on High it would be relay, on medium it is more likely the resistor.
