Seem after filling the gas tank the service engine soon light comes on and stays on till the tank is about half empty. The light comes on about 30 miles after refueling. The fuel cap is on as tight as it will go. This has been going on for the past 5 or 6 fuel tank refills...

So the light goes off after awhile? Could be a bad cap or a faulty air pump or solenoid valve. If the light goes back off that means the tank pressure is coming up but is taking longer than it should.
Get the code read for free at AutoZone. Not sure about the Status but if similar to other Dodge vehicles you maybe able to read the code yourself. Turn the key from Off-On-Off-On-Off-On and the odometer may show you the code. Takes a few tries to get that to work sometimes.

Yup. Goes off at about half full on gauge. Comes back on after around 30 miles of driving after a full fill-up.
