thanks:
I had a bunch of Camaros that cracked at the steering box bolt area. I had to remove the steering box, V out the cracks lightly. then mig them in and grind down the welds just enough to have the box sit even.

No one cares what you think. It's wrong. This much we know.

Hi Charles:
I just weld the cracks, because adding metal to a unitized construction car, is in violation of FMVSS law.
The welding turns out nice, and if you use three passes, it grinds down nicely, without hitting the parent metal.
Almost like the I-CAR Uni-Body sectioning course teaches.

At least you are where the good NY team is (Yankees).

Northeast Pa:
Where the women have big asses, and both the men and women have rotten teeth. For the most part anyway.
I'm about 15 miles away from a town called Shamokin, and no matter where I go. People ask me to open my mouth, to see if I have all my teeth?
LOL
I'd rather be back in The Bronx, with the pets. Plus Harlem is getting closed off Saturday, for a NASCAR race.
Jessie Jackson will flag it, the Inaugural Running of the Foodstamps Fo Hunned, Nextel will let Dole Watermelon be the official sponsor for that day.

My Brother lives across the bay, Saddlebrook NJ. His best friend lives in NYC, in Queens. So I actually get out that way every so often. Charles
Some parts of Queens are still beautiful:
But, make a wrong turn. Like in California, and go into a gangs neighborhood by accident. Expect to lose your car, money and all your belongings. Plus get roughed up really good.

My '79 Trans Am is from Sinking Spring, PA (Reading). Nearby? That was a three hour trip for me. LOL.
It was originally sold in Waynesboro/St. Thomas PA which seems like a really stick-ish town. LOL.
PA is a nice state---the people are decent and down to earth. Joe--ASE Certified Parts Specialist & 10th Ann.Club Tech Director '80 Carousel Red Turbo T/A, 26k orig. '79 "Y89" 400/4 speed 10th Ann. Boy oh Boy, how dumb do you get? Aint you learned a thing? Joe is a well respected person here. He helps out a lot of people. You could have just apologized and probably gotten some answers and help. Yet you keep insulting him. Doing that pisses of other regular contributors to this group. All of whom do it cause they love the cars.
At this point you shouldn't expect any one to give you any help here. Hell I have even given you some subtle hints.
It's a free newsgroup. The only things you can do: Cancel your own posts. Use a news reader with a kill filter so you do not see replies from some people. Bitch like a Crack Hoe, who just got robbed.
Net Etiquette is something you should read. Most news readers have a link to it under help.

Was there (AZ) the other day for same thing, but for my '98 Neon. Of course their computer doesn't come up with the belt for this rare application, so after searching around for 15 minutes, they come up with a # from a different year, and I decide to give it a shot. Wrong, of course. Too short. After looking for a while online, I come up with a 350 instead of the 332 they sold me, so I take the other one back and they gave me a hassle. But I put on my charm. No make/model/year. Just said, "This is wrong, I need that. No...don't look it up, you already did that. Remember? I need it, now." Quiet with a look gets results better than shouting, I find.
