Code 455 What is it?

Have a '96 EXPLORER V8. Check Engine light just came on for no reason. Still drives fine. Went to Auto Zone and they read a code of

455. They looked it up and and ssaid it was a large vacuum leak but couldn't tell me anymore. Anyone know more?

It's a 'vacuum' leak, alright.... but it's in the EVAP system.Make sure the gas cap is on tight.... you might even have it tested (there is a one way vacuum valve in it). Other possibilities include damaged evaporative emission control lines. IIRC, the evap cannister on yours is above the rear axle.

While it wont affect the running of the vehicle, it is probably allowing evaporative emissions into the atmosphere.....
