Do Not Sell Label on 04 Maquis window sticker

Saw a couple of 04 Grand Marquis today. The window sticker had all the options & info on it except any prices or MPG rating. Where the MPG rating normally is printed it said in bold text Do Not Sell.

Do they have to wait for a price from Ford?

AH, the old days. When the dealerships covered there windows and put covers over the "New" models. What a big hype circus it was. TImes have changed.

Most likely assembled and shipped before pricing was set or the CAFE was certified or both. Vehicles can not be shipped without the sticker, nor sold without ALL of the required information. New priced labels will be sent to the dealer, with the invoice, to be put on them when offered for sale.

At the plant I work at the labels also specify that the vehicle is not for sale and should not be displayed.
