Just purchased a 2004 Ranger Edge and have two questions. My previous truck was a 99' Ranger XLT and the power windows would operate up/down for about 30 seconds after truck was turned off. While the auto down features work on the Edge it does not allow the windows to be operated after the truck is turned off. Is there a problem or is that particular feature not implemented in the Edge series.
Also on the 99' Ranger XLT the backlighting for the headlight control knob is off until the lights or parking lights are turned on.
The backlighting for the Ranger Edge is on as soon as the truck is started or the key is in the accessory position. This occurs even if the headlight control is in the off position. No other dash lights are on until the headlight / parking lights are turned on.
Does this brand new truck have a wiring issue or are these items normal. I spoke with the dealership and did not receive a clear answer.
