It starts up cold every time. However sometimes after stopping at the gas station or running errands it won't start. The starter turns over but it just won't start. Just waiting for a while is all that helps. After replacing the battery the problem went away but its back. The alternator is fairly new. Any suggestions?

It's possible that a fuel line is getting warm and causing the gasoline to boil away in it as your vehicle sits...check to see if any lines that are near the exhaust manifold have lost their insulation...Or has the exhaust manifold itself lost a heat shield?

Also a Toyota problem, but in my case it was a failed fuel pressure regulator.
