Stopped at the local Ford dealer and told 'em about the antics of my fuel gauge:
After filling, it drops to "0" with a low fuel indication. On occasion, it'll slowly crawl up over 15 min or so from 1/4 tank to full. Its been doing this off and on since last Spring.
It now has a full tank of course. They say run it til it gets down to ~ 1/4 tank, then call for appt to bring it in for a new sending unit under warranty. They say this is common. Don't know if it happens with the 'gassers' or just diesel
