Brake controller makes right turn signal solid

My '97 E-150, it didn't come with a towing package but it did come pre-wired for a brake controller and such, even had the fuse in the box under the hood. A hitch has since been installed as well as a 6 way trailer connector. I bought a brake controller with ford plug-in wire harness for under the steering column. When I plugged it in, the right turn signal indictaor on the instrument panel came on solid, as well as the actual light; but only on the front, not the back.

Anyone know where the problem could be in the wiring to cause such a problem?

I think I figured out the problem... the Ford harness I have is not the correct one for my vehicle it seems. The one I have is from a newer model F-series pickup and has a 6 pin connector but only four wires are used, my connector actually has 6 wires including turn signal feeds and the wires this cable does have are wired differently in the plug than they are on my vehicle, no wonder it doesn't work! I'll see if I can get the local truck place to maybe exchange for a small fee the wire harness I have for the correct one.

This problem has been solved. There is aparaently TWO connectors of the same kind (one grey, one brown). I discovered the brown one hiding under the loose carpet and now I have it working properly.
