F250 Washer Fluid doesn't work...Any Ideas?

Greetings,I have an F250 that has a windshield washer that doesn't work. Thereis power at the fuse block (the wiper and washer are on an 8.25 ampcircuit breaker) and I've replaced both the motor and thecolumn-mounted wiper/washer/turn signal/headlight dimmer assemblywithout luck. When I push the button to activate the washer I hear arelay in the wiper control module click and the wipers engage but thewasher motor doesn't run. I have thought of replacing the wipercontrol module but at ~$100 for the module I thought I'd see if anyonehere had a suggestion before I fork over the $ for a new module. TIAfor your responses.Brad

Have you checked to make sure that power is actualy getting to the pump?You could have something as simple as a broken wire or a bad ground.Dick

Or a plugged hose going to the windshield?

Hi Dick,Yes, when I apply power to the pump it works correctly and the wiringappears to be intact. I replaced the column unit at the suggestion ofthe local Ford dealer, who mentioned that the unit is often the sourceof this problem. The unit was ready to be replaced anyway as the turnsignal control was getting pretty loose and wouldn't "click" and lockinto position when signalling to make a turn. I suspect that the wipercontrol module (which behind the glove compartment on the passengerside of the vehicle is now the best bet as the source of the fault...Ijust hate this "trial and error" method of resolving electrical issues:-).Brad
